**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Early Years Manager, the Secretary II provides secretarial and administrative support integral to the efficient operation of programs and services of Public Health. The Secretary II is responsible, as part of a team, for the effective and efficient operation of the team on a day-to-day basis.

The Secretary II ensures that the principles and practices that guide NSH such as the vision, mission, values, strategic directions, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that they do and through the messages they deliver.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Successful completion of a medical office administration program required
- Extensive experience in electronic communication (including but not limited to) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), videoconferencing solutions, and data management tools required
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a health care setting required
- Demonstrated competence in verbal and written communication and strong public relations skills required
- Demonstrated experience with electronic medical records required
- Working knowledge of IT systems such as Panorama, SAP, filing and file retention procedures and schedules, purchasing equipment or supplies
- Experience working in Public Health an asset
- Supports and delivers quality patient safety standards within NSH Public Health.

**Hours**:
Permanent
- Full Time, 70 hours Bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.36 - $23.14 hourly
