**Quality Control Coordinator**

The Quality Control Coordinator provides overall direction, administration and coordination of the project quality control plan to ensure compliance with applicable company, contract and government regulations and leads the day to day project quality control coordination for all phases through closeout of the project.

**How will you contribute to the team?**
- Conducts specification and project drawings review, develops a project specific Quality Control Plan at the beginning of each project.
- Implements a quality control system to ensure compliance with quality standards and/or contract specific documents to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality control plan. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
- Reviews issued for construction drawings, calculations and shop drawings and ensure all concerned project staff have current versions of documents applicable to their part of work.
- Oversees quality testing and inspections, evaluate engineering, procurement and construction activities and resolve any quality control issues that may arise.
- Provide cost estimates for project deliverables to analyze best approach and improve budget information for the project staff.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities including testing schedules and procedures.
- Reviews and evaluates subcontractors and suppliers adherence to quality procedures and standards. Initiates stop work order and directs the removal and replacement of non-conforming work.
- Facilitates the submittal process and ensures that submittals meet the contract and project requirements and are submitted to the Consultants as required and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit monthly quality control reports to the Consultant in a timely and accurate manner.
- Attend project meetings with the Client and their representatives concerning matters of QA/QC and contract specification interpretations.

**Education & Experience**:

- Certified Engineering Technologist (_C.E.T._), P.Eng. or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience on site or general construction
- Experience managing shop drawing review is required
- Technical knowledge of materials and construction processes.
- Knowledge in contract specification and building code requirements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
- Highly organized, detail oriented, proficient in problem-solving
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

**Working Conditions**:

- Site based position
- Personal protective equipment (ie. hardhat, safety boots) required at all times.
