We are actively recruiting for an experienced Protect Liability Specialist to handle Bodily Injury claims, some of which are in litigation, and provide outstanding service to our customers.

The primary role in Protect Claims is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle BI claims in accordance with Aviva's procedures and philosophy.

What you’ll do:

- Interpret, evaluate, and determine insurance coverage
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle sophisticated property damage liability claims
- Ensure accurate and timely reserves are set
- Optimally manage customer, broker, and partner communication regarding claim matters
- Clearly detail and summarize file activity in a digital file
- Support and encourage Aviva’s claim and litigation philosophy

What you’ll bring:

- Ability to work independently and effectively from a regional or home office
- Some knowledge of property damage liability claims and litigation/litigation strategies
- A strong familiarity with current coverage case law
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Well-developed organizational abilities
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and integrity
- A great sense of humor
- A committed teammate with a positive outlook
- Minimum of 4+ year claims adjusting experience or equivalent
