Overnight Cleaner

The Insignia hotel is a unique hotel with rich history and charm. Formerly known as the Drawbridge Inn, our hotel was initially built in the 1960’s. Throughout the history of Sarnia, the drawbridge was the place to be. Today, The Insignia Hotel is part of the Tribute Portfolio Collection, and we continue to grow and prosper with the beautiful city of Sarnia. We offer a full-service 84 room hotel with amazing amenities such as saltwater pool, dry saunas, gym, fine dining restaurant and bar. We also have a private banquet hall and drawbridge room available for business, conferences, and leisure events.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented **Overnight Cleaner **who can work well independently.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
You will be responsible for cleaning all public areas in the hotel including pool, fitness centre, bathrooms, hallways, entrances, and stairs. In addition to restocking linen and amenity closets throughout the hotel.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Cleans and maintains all public areas in the guest room tower including, pool, gym, restaurant, lobby, bar, guest room corridors, elevators, and stairwells.
- Empties trash and linen from housekeeping carts and takes trash to dumpster.
- Restocks linen and amenity closets
- Clears garbage, laundry, and dishes from hallways.
- Assists night auditor in delivering guest requests if needed
- Is able to carry and lift items weighing up to 100 pounds and able to stand for 8 consecutive hours.
- Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
- Wears proper uniform at all times in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines in the handbook
- Clean guestrooms, if required.
- Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Reliable Transportation. Shift timing will be 10pm-6am.
- Availability to work full time
- Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 100 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written in English, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
