**Responsibilities**:

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain accurate pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects of varying complexities.
- Analyze and interpret bid documents, identifying potential discrepancies or areas of concern.
- Maintain a thorough and up-to-date database of cost information for materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to provide insight into project budgets and cost-related matters.
- Assist in the development of value engineering options to optimize project costs.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in estimating, project management, or related disciplines (e.g., PMP, CCM) are an asset.
- Proven experience in construction estimating in the building industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Planswift takeoff, estimating and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with construction industry practices, codes, and regulations.
