9:00am - 5:30pm

Monday - Friday night

**About the position**:
The Lead Slicer is responsible for ensuring that the product is sorted and in line with the specifications, sliced, bagged, and prepared properly prior to packing. Lead Slicers are responsible for ensuring that machines are running properly and that record keeping is complete and accurate.

**Job Duties**:

- Check the daily production schedule and identify which products are being produced that day, and their preparation (bagged, sliced etc).
- Ensure that the startup check list is completed each day.
- Set the production date/Julian date and product code for the Kwiklok. Ensure the printout is legible, the date and shift coded correctly.
- Ensure appropriate machine components are in place as per product specifications and change out as needed; while following lock out procedures
- Monitor machine controls; monitor the slicing and bagging in-line process continuously by inspecting the product, ensuring the correct slice, quantity, and quality as per the product specification.
- Sort products coming through conveyor prior to bagging/slicing.
- Monitor machine controls and install/refill proper product bags into machine as required.
- Ensure proper record keeping using our internal computer system.
- Keep area clean and tidy, free of hazards for duration of shift; follow all safety procedures

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work along a fast-paced production line, standing for long periods of time, assert proper bending and reaching techniques.
- Previous experience in a production environment is an asset.
- Ability to read, write, follow instruction, and communicate in English.
- Ability to use automated ERP system for record and data keeping.
- Strong attention to proper work procedures and working safely in a production environment.
- A willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas to improve team performance.
- Punctuality and good attendance is mandatory.
- Ability to work in other areas as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
