Langley, Canada Sweet Thea Bakery, Ltd. Full time

Sweet Thea Bakery is hiring a Bakery Manager for their Langley production kitchen. We are looking for someone who has both management and professional baking experience and is eager to implement their expertise and share their knowledge with our Langley team. This position requires that you be proficient working in the bakery as well as doing computerized administrative tasks.

Our head office and production center is in Langley, with daily delivery to busy retail locations in Vancouver and Delta. With a new build-out of a flagship location in Vancouver in progress, our current production facility in Langley needs a working leader to ensure product quality is maintained while satisfying sales demands.

We are looking for a positive individual who understands the benefits and value of teamwork, and has good communication and organizational skills.

You must be able to delegate effectively and be able to implement systems to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently. We are looking for someone who can identify areas of weakness and help troubleshoot the situation, whether it’s operations, product or staff, while maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities include:

- Hire, supervise and train employees
- supervise bakery production
- ensure product quality and consistency
- manage inventory
- create weekly production schedules
- maintain equipment cleaning schedule and general cleanliness of bakery
- schedule staff
- manage overall production, waste, and inventory logs
- fill in and assist staff with production when required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2-5 years management experience in a scratch bakery
- additional minimum 5 years professional baking experience
- experience with laminated doughs and scratch baking practices
- a strong passion for food and quality ingredients

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.

Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience. Benefits package is paid for by the company, and available after 3 months employment.
