**Salary**: 2,626.89 to $3,448.73 bi-weekly ($68,561 - $90,011/year)

The Platform branch within DDD is accountable for supporting ministry programs through the planning, development, delivery and operations of user-centered common platform services. The branch builds and develops common platforms and data services that enable product teams to deliver working software that meets the needs of their users.

**Role Responsibilities**:
The Platform branch is looking for a Platforms Performance Analytics Analyst to be part of a matrix platform team. The role will report to the Team Lead of Performance Analytics.

The responsibilities for this role include:

- Developing a platform performance analytics framework (e.g., approaches, methods, models, and products).
- Executing performance analytics projects.
- Performing analytics advisory services and practice development.
- Supporting the sub-unit Lead and Director in achieving branch goals and priorities.

**Qualifications**:
A University degree in a related field (Computing Science, Commerce, Arts etc.) plus two (2) years related experience in digital development and delivery is required. See below for equivalencies.

**Requirements**:

- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations with at least one reporting tool, preferably Tableau or PowerBI.

**Equivalencies**:
Directly related education or experience considered based on:

- A two-year diploma in a related field plus four (4) years related experience; or
- A one-year certificate in a related field plus five (5) years related experience; or
- A minimum of six (6) years related experience.

**Assets**:

- Experience in Google Analytics.
- Experience of Agile delivery approaches.
- Experience of Cloud and DevOps.
- Understanding the principles of user-centred analysis; can identify who users are and what their needs are, based on evidence.
- Understanding the importance of analysis to user-centred design and know how to collaborate with professions that are focused on user-centred design (for example, user research, user experience, content, design, service analysis).
- Proficiency with SQL, and some experience with data modeling and data engineering is preferable.
- Developing data analysis, including statistical and qualitative analysis, and survey design.
- Understanding how to collect, collate, cleanse and interpret data to derive meaningful and actionable insights.
- Understanding how to use the most appropriate medium to visualize data to tell compelling and actionable stories relevant for business goals.
- Understanding and working within given constraints (including but not limited to technology, policy, regulatory, financial, legal, ethical, social, user constraints).
- Ability to turn data into valuable insights that inform decisions.
- Knowledge of theories, approaches, and methods for performance analytics.
- Knowledge of Government of Alberta business processes including operational planning, performance measurement frameworks, accountability processes, and public sector reporting practices.
- Systems thinking and creative problem solving.
