Applications are invited for the regular position of part-time Cultural & Global Engagement Assistant in the International Division. The starting salary is $24.32 /hr for a 24 hour work week, spread out over Monday - Friday. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. The position is located at the Welland Campus.

The successful incumbent provides high level administrative support for the Associate Director, Cultural & Global Engagement (C & GE) and offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical supporting role across the Cultural & Global Engagement team assisting the Be World Ready (BWR) program and the Travel Logistics and Events departments.

The incumbent also provides information and uses advanced problem-solving skills to resolve situations with stakeholders internally and externally. The incumbent is involved with supporting strategic planning and assisting the Associate Director by conducting research, preparing reports and developing proposals. The incumbent will facilitate the efficient operation and delivery of programs and activities and provides confidential administrative and project support for the Associate Director, Cultural & Global Engagement.

A good knowledge base of College operations, policies and procedures is required to perform all aspects of this position.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Organizes and manages the Associate Director’s schedule including team and individual meetings, retreats, presentations, and/or annual conferences
- Preparation of files, meeting logistics; and assists with follow through on action items from meeting minutes
- Reconciles monthly Visa statement and travel expenses
- Maintains office systems, records, project and meeting files using appropriate tools including SharePoint, OneDrive, Salesforce
- Assist with the organizing and review of contracts, budgets, and payment schedules for BWR program in support of the Associate Director
- Acts as first point of contact for C & GE Office related to Be World Ready lead engagement, and corporate travellers
- Acts as support for travel arrangements (logistics, per diem, travel requests) for Associate Director and other staff sponsored by C&G E Office as appropriate
- Generates and submits absentee and vacation reports, part-time/co-op student payroll reports, and overtime/lieu time reports
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 2 year diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Humanities, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales or related field of study.
- 3 years experience working in a clerical administrative position
- Demonstrated intercultural competence though study or work abroad experience
