**Warehouse Coordinator**
- Working under the Warehouse Supervisor; _**Richelieu Hardware - Edmonton Branch**_; is currently seeking a highly motivated _**Warehouse Coordinator **_to harmonize day-to-day operations of our warehouse_
- **The key responsibilities and how you will make an impact**:_
- Responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations to drive the team towards achieving quality, accuracy, and productivity measures. Staff mentoring responsibilities include training, planning, and assigning daily work, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.
- **Specific day-to-day responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following**:_
- Effectively coordinate and allocate warehouse staff to meet shifting needs of the business.
- Crossed trained and involved with all areas of the warehouse including picking and packing, shipping/receiving and inventory control to ensure smooth daily operations and achievement of KPI’s.
- Plan, communicate and execute the daily shift work plan of activities to be performed and KPI’s to be achieved.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as sales, CSRs, and other branches to ensure positive contribution to meet business operational goals and efficiencies.
- Warehouse organization, layout, and capacity management.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment as well as equipment.
- Proactively identify and escalate any issues and areas for efficiency and improvement to the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure our efficiency standards are constantly met.
- Create and maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
- Covering job duties of team members during absences, vacations, and illnesses.
- Provide other support as required to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- 12 to 18 months minimum experience in a fast-paced distribution warehouse environment, in a lead position.
- Strong understanding of warehouse / distribution operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of warehouse software (AS400, TMS and RF Scanners)
- Demonstrated high ethical standard and professional conduct.
- Taking initiative and having a proactive approach to responsibilities.
- Adept at managing priorities and time sensitive commitments.
- Strong ability to identify and resolve problems with a sense of urgency.
- Forklift certification or experience.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
- A high degree of flexibility is required
- Must be available for shift work, overtime, and weekends if necessary
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs, reach, pull, push, and stand / walk for long periods of time.
