About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Maintenance Mechanical Senior Supervisor, the Summer Relief’s primary function is to perform general maintenance laborer support as well as asphalt tank car loading at the Lloydminster Asphalt Refinery in Lloydminster, AB.

Please note: this is a temporary position ending November 30, 2023.

**Responsibilities**:
- Perform daily operations of loading asphalt products to tank cars.- Participate in day-to-day maintenance activities.- Operate heavy duty equipment (forklift, tractor, all-terrain vehicles, track mobile).- Perform general laborer and housekeeping duties within all areas of the Refinery.- Ensure all work is performed in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with Cenovus’s policies and procedures.- Participate in Health and Safety Programs and initiatives.- Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
- This is a unionized role (UNIFOR).- Overtime as required based on business needs and schedules- Work Schedule is Monday to Thursday (9.33 hours/day)

Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.- Minimum Grade 12 education or GED equivalent.- The following experience would be considered an asset:
- Post-secondary/technical/trade programRelated tank car loading experience-
- Previous process operations or maintenance experience in an industrial setting-
- Safety training certifications such as TDG, Confined Space I/II, H2S Alive, etc-
- Basic understanding of safety and regulatory standards.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team environment.- Strong trouble-shooting skills.- Proficiency with computers is required (experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.-
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.
