**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
Canadian Utility Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to assume an exciting, multifaceted role within our Construction group. Under the direction of the Construction Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for organizing, supervising, and the performance of a crew of multi-disciplined technicians, operators, and equipment. The Field Supervisor will lead a team in the execution of mobilizing, site development, and construction of various projects such as highways, right-of-ways, transmission lines, and more. The Field Supervisor is responsible to ensure the adherence of the crew to all applicable environmental, safety, and standard work practices as defined by our Environmental Protection Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and CUSL Work Instructions. The Field Supervisor will work closely with the Operations Manager and other supervision team members in the preparation, execution, and completion of their projects.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of related industry experience
- Must possess a good understanding of construction project lifecycle including the planning of all activities and starting a project from start to finish.
- Good understanding of the use of technology such as GIS, GPS, and tablets
- Thorough understanding of forest policy, guidelines, and regulations
- A proven commitment to safety and protection of the environment
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to plan for and direct teams of multidisciplined workers and heavy equipment.
**To apply**:
Salary - $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience, bonuses and extras provided.
**Experience**:
Forestry: 3-5 years
**Education**:
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma with related experiences, in a forestry discipline.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
