Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Director, the **Operations Excellence Manager** will drive and lead continuous improvement best practices. Based at our Mississauga Facility, this position’s primary focus will be on planning, developing and implementing lean, 5S and continuous improvement processes that are sustained inside the operations and deliver improved costs, quality, reliability, scalability, and consistency. The role is onsite 5-days per week.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Build and develop a team to support the continuous improvement program including identifying necessary skills, competencies required, and recruiting, training and coaching team members.
- Document current processes through participation and/or facilitate brainstorming sessions or workshops with stakeholders, Identify process gaps within existing processes and initiate change at a rapid pace.
- Identify opportunities in productivity, material consumption, other operational expenses and space utilization.
- Diagnose and evaluate performance challenges (cost, quality, delivery, safety & morale) stemming from demand management and forecasting, inventory management, capacity and production planning, and production process design and execution.
- Oversee deployment, execution and sustainment of Mevotech Production & Management Operating System.
- Be the expert and enhance existing Lean operating model.
- Develop recommendations on process reengineering and standardization by evaluating efficiency improvements and quality of output.
- Support the planning and implementing of process improvement, operating models, optimization, and organizational design.
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups to improve business processes by studying current practices and proposing modifications, taking an end-to-end perspective with a focus on improved service and operational excellence, and increased efficiencies.
- Ensure proper documentation and training on implemented improvements with a focus on development & maintenance of relevant procedures and controls.

**Your qualifications include**:

- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field) is ideal but not a requirement.
- Minimum 5 years of related process and continuous improvement experience (Lean and/or 5S).
- Previous experience with engineering labor standards is an asset but not a requirement.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong MS Office skills including MS Project.
- Strategic and forward thinking.

- Ability to create and update Facility Drawings in AutoCAD (a strong asset).

- Onsite 5-days per week.
- Ability to travel to various warehouses.
