- This role is located in Saguenay, Canada because of the proximity of our four sites of the Quebec operation. The scope of work includes all the Atlantic sites including Iceland and British Columbia.
- You’ll be managing a team of quality engineer located in each Atlantic site to support the company initiative related to quality.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to support the delivery and the implementation strategy, policy and standards development across the broad range of activities which are collectively associated with the quality management systems.

Reporting to the Technical Assurance Director and working in a collaborative community, within the Technical Services team, you will be:

- Contributes to RTA initiatives to transfer best practices across the group; Standardize and optimize the QMS globally
- Assists with maintaining a strategic view of the section’s work and role within Rio Tinto Aluminium - Atlantic
- Contributes to strategic quality management reviews, audits and/or pre-audits as required
- Contributes towards the development of Rio Tinto Aluminum ’s QMS guidelines / standards
- Advises on Risk Assessment methods for quality controls in each casthouse across RTA Atlantic
- Networks with relevant external Quality Management organizations and consultants
- Maintains an awareness of international best practice and competitor position in the relevant QMS
- Share best practices with RTA Pacific Operation

**What you’ll bring**

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- College or University education in relevant field
- Experience managing QMS in manufacturing business
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Alumnium production
- A positive attitude to work in a collaborative style with the site by avoiding prescription
- Structure, planning and rigor are the most important keys to achieve the expectation of the business

Asset:

- Pertinent experience related to commercial exposure, customer services or process
- An engineer, an experiment technician, can fulfill this role or any other pertinent training
- Fluency in both English and French
