**Salary**: Based on L’Arche Canada’s Compensation Policy. Estimated starting wage is 55,000-65,000 a year with room to negotiate based on previous experience, skills, and education.

**Responsible To**: Assistants Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and overall integration of programming for L’Arche Arnprior, along with fundraising activities. The Program Coordinator directly encourages, trains, and supports Program Leaders to create programs that embrace the core values of L’Arche, thus resulting in high quality care and programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities and a thriving learning environment for Support Assistants. The Program Coordinator is an effective member of the Extended Leadership Team and an active member of the local L’Arche community.

**Location**:

- Multiple locations including our office and program space located in Arnprior Ontario.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Creates and manages fee-for-service and subsidized programing and implements exciting new programing for the L’Arche community.
- Recruits and supervises Program Leaders and Assistants (volunteers and staff) for each activity as required.
- Supports House Leaders and Program Leaders to maintain a comfortable rhythm, ensuring needs of all members are met; this includes encouraging local participation in activities.
- Organizes a strategic watch for exciting creative new programing, events, and fundraising opportunities.
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with core members, homes, families, friends, and professionals within areas of responsibility.
- Plans and organizes the direct mail appeal program.
- Collaborates with the Finance Coordinator in grant researching, writing, and reporting.
- Organizes and leads annual Fundraising events, in consultation with the Community Leader and the Finance Coordinator.
- Provides on-call support, via the reference (emergency) phone, as part of a team rotation (24hrs/day, 7 days at a time (approximately one week in 6 or 7) - includes in person support at various locations.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or certificate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Clear police check including vulnerable sector screening
- Ability to admit mistakes and learn; asks for and accepts help when needed
- Ability to be flexible and manage the stress of multi-faceted responsibilities and supervision
- Can remain calm, and focused in times of uncertainty and crisis, and can give clear directions
- Works collaboratively, models and promotes conflict resolution
- Is organized and able to set priorities and follow-through on commitments in a timely fashion
- Good administrative skills, organized and demonstrates time management skills
- Ability to problem solve, assist in reaching solutions and obtaining necessary resources
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
- Knowledge of community computer software ie. HRIS, Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc..

**Particulars**:

- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend exceptions.
