**St. Albert Dodge** is looking for a **Automotive Technician** **in **St. Albert, Alberta**

**Compensation: $90K-125K or more per year, depending on your capability**
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Inspect and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment on new, pre-owned, and customer vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
- Must perform thorough, precise, and accurate inspections with photos and detailed notes in our electronic system on every job. We pay you for your inspection time - we want it done right on every vehicle.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- ** Journeyman Red Seal certification**:
- ** 4 years minimum experience in the industry.**:
- Strong Automotive Background
- Must be willing to diagnose at least 80% of your own jobs, including routine mechanical and electrical problems.
- First Aid and WHMIS an asset
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Hold a valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Working knowledge of shop equipment
- Must be willing to submit a background check prior to employment
