Scansa has opportunities for a **Civil Foreman **to join our team on a full-time basis in Victoria, BC**.**

The following are some of the job requirements, abilities and understandings but not limited to:

- In collaboration with their designated Superintendent, the Site Foreman is responsible for all aspects of the construction phases of their project(s).
- Review and have a thorough knowledge of the project specifications and drawings.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of construction practices.
- Time management to plan and prioritize to meet expectations of role/project.
- Maintain good working relationships with inspectors, consultants, engineers, clients and subcontractors.
- Is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crew under his/her direction and must understand and accept the importance and legal liability of the role
- Responsible for ensuring all completed tasks meet quality standards and comply with the Company Quality Control program.
- Coordinate labour/equipment/trucking requirements with Superintendent, in a timely manner.
- Ensure day to day activities are planned pro-actively and communicated to the crew.
- Pre-plan the project tasks, material ordering and tool requirements prior to the start of shift.
- Responsible for site equipment, tools and c-can; ensuring all are maintained, organized, inventoried and available for use.
- Recognize, address and resolve issues/problems that may arise and impact your project.
- Provide mentoring and training to crew on a daily basis; constantly working to build your teams’ knowledge, skill and ability.
- Accurately complete Daily Field Reports (DFR) showing all hours for crew under the appropriate cost code, as well as all materials delivered to site, and showing daily productions. Documenting visitors and conversations that have taken place relevant to the project.
- Prepare all other required administrative, safety and quality control documents throughout the project life cycle until the project close out adhering to company deadlines. Proper record keeping and documentation is mandatory.

**Qualifications**:

- 4 + years of experience as a Civil Foreman
- Valid BC driver’s licence

**Work Environment**:

- Working at various jobsites within Victoria, Westshore and Sooke
- Exposure to changing weather conditions and elements
