Scheduling Coordinator

Clarion Nursing Home is a family owned and operated home in the Hamilton area since 1960. We are home to 78 residents and connected to Lakeview Retirement Centre
The Scheduling Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Care and is responsible for the coordination of the daily staffing schedules, staff replacement, staffing hours, nursing payroll information and employee file maintenance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Maintain Master Time Sheet, daily shift assignments and weekly rosters.
- Scheduling/Shift replacement
- Working with staffing agencies
- WSIB program
- Joint health and safety program and meetings
- Maintain Attendance and Absenteeism program.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll reconciliation reports for department.
- Ensure daily hours reflect the budgeting hours.
- Respond to scheduling inquiries by staff.
- Conduct regular inventory of nursing supplies, inform Director of Care for final approval to order supplies.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Computer skills and experience are required.
- Working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet.
- Knowledge of LTC policies, procedures including MLTC funding is an asset.
- Knowledge of Union Contracts is desirable
- Ability to work effectively individually and with others while prioritizing tasks to handle the most urgent first.
- **MUST have a current Police Check (Vulnerable Sector) within past 6 months.**
**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
