We are seeking dedicated individuals to lead a series of camps featuring interactive hands-on activities, crafts, and games. These sessions aim to educate children about the functioning of the human body and organs, familiarize them with real medical instruments, teach basic first aid procedures, and even demonstrate skills like knot-tying used by surgeons.

Whether you seek an exceptional resume-building opportunity, desire credit hours for educational programs, or simply wish to augment your income in an enjoyable manner, Little Medical School is the ideal platform for you.

We offer excellent job and volunteer prospects for pre-medical and nursing students. While a medical background is not mandatory, previous experience working with children is preferred. All instructors and volunteers must undergo background checks and fingerprinting, as required by the schools and districts we serve.

**Job purpose**:

- The instructor will teach Little Medical School®'s proprietary curriculum to children aged 4-16 years old, in different locations in the Ottawa region.
- Daily 3.5- 8.5-hour shifts in an available location of your choice.
- Ensure the health and safety of the children in the camp.
- Act as a role model and lead students and volunteers at all times
- Communicate with parents about the activities covered during the day.
- Create activities and games during break times.
- Set up and clean up for your classroom according to applicable standards.

- The instructor is responsible for learning the proprietary curriculum and activities by attending training and completing the self-learning package.

**Requirements**:

- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be reliable
- Must have experience working with children
- Pass a background check (Vulnerable Sector Check and Reference Check)
- Outgoing personality, energetic, creative, motivated and fun
- Must have good English
- Good communication skills
- Must have conflict resolution skills
- Presentation skills
- Self-motivated

- Bilingual is preferred
- First aid certification is required
