The Department of Psychiatry is a diverse city-wide clinical academic department at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. The department has full-time clinical academics at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), St. Joseph’s Health Care, London (SJHC) in London and St. Thomas, and at the Child and Parent Resources Institute (CPRI), with Distributed Education in Windsor and Southwestern Ontario.
The vision for the Department of Psychiatry is to be the acknowledged Centre of Excellence for psychiatric care and discovery in Southwestern Ontario with a mission to translate clinical research into treatment and provide regional consultation within interdisciplinary models of care. The Department of Psychiatry is comprised of 77 Full-Time Clinical Academics, 6 Basic Scientists, 50 Residents and 13 administrative staff including the Manager, Administration & Finance.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director of the Postgraduate Education Program and the Manager, Administration & Finance, the PGE Program Coordinator is responsible for the efficient administration and coordination of the Postgraduate Education Program for the Department of Psychiatry. This position works collaboratively with the Director of Postgraduate Education, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and works independently with a high level of initiative and responsibility for all aspects of the program. The Postgraduate Education Program Coordinator supports applicants, residents, faculty and other staff in the administration of the program and event management.

**Education**:
- 3-Year College Diploma in Business/Administrative Assistant Field
- University degree preferred
**Experience**:
- 5 years’ administrative experience, preferably in a postgraduate program
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Self-motivated multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
- Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in a professional, respectful, and diplomatic manner
- Strong customer service skills to handle inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative and follow through on work assignments
- Ability to provide solutions by using imaginative approaches where constructive thinking and innovation are required
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization
- Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle to travel within the city and surrounding communities
