Production Worker

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position will float as needed between the various Social Enterprise locations (Projects Woodshop, Recycle Depot, Retail Thrift Stores).**

**Centra Cam Custom Projects**:Production Staff in this area are primarily responsible for the production of orders (wood workshop environment) received from customers. This location is primarily involved the production of pipe dunnage and involves use of various saws, nailers, and woodworking equipment. Heavy lifting is required; this is a noise regulated area and hearing protection is required. This location will be the primary work location.

**Recycle with Centra Cam**:Production Staff in this area are primarily responsible for gathering and processing of recyclable materials (tin, glass, paper, etc.) that are dropped off in designated receptacles. They also pariticipate in picking uip confidential shred from customers.

**Centra Cam Vintage and Reuse Stores Stores**: Production Workers in our The Lifestyles Outlet and Essentials Boutique locations are responsible for customer service, sorting donations, stocking shelves, preparing displays and ensuing store standards are met.

**DUTIES**:

- Operate powered equipment to produce orders or process materials (saws, nailers, balers, pallet jack, pallet wrapper, forklift, cash resgister, debit machine)
- Follow production standards, policies and procedures
- Complete facility and yard housekeeping
- Customer service
- Participate in safe work practices, health and safety discussions, job task analysis, and field level hazard assessments
- Wear required PPE
- Follows all safety regulations and participates in safe work practices
- Must be flexible to work in any location
- May work in inclement weather when required

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Education in a trade is an asset.
- Experience with bandsaws, air nailers/staplers.
- Fork lift Certification is an asset.
- First Aid Certification is an asset.
- Retail and Customer Service experience are an asset.
- Ability and knowledge to safely and effectively use equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of basic rules and guidelines for personal health and safety.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Valid driver’s license, Acceptable Driver’s abstract.
- Acceptable Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector.
- Please be aware this job requires the ability to work in a physically challenging situation and environment; activities include lifting heavy and manipulating awkward materials, pushing/pulling, handling/gripping, reaching, standing, walking, climbing bending, stooping, crouching/kneeling and twisting/turning. Normal Vision Required. Environments can be dusty and are governed by noise regulations. Working alone safe practices must be followed.

**Wages are dependent on qualifications, formal education & experience.**

**Salary**: $15.00-$30.00 per hour
