We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Marketing team as an
**Assistant Manager, Standard Plans and Projects. **Reporting to the Architectural Manager, in this role you will be responsible for the effective management and oversight of the architectural design process of building projects.

If you have strong leadership skills, attention to detail and knowledge of building code regulations, we would love to hear from you

**What you’ll do**:

- Create and build a production schedule. Manage and delegate new incoming drawing projects to the team.
- Review submitted drawings for completeness and accuracy; approve and process.
- Supervise, coach, and offer guidance to the Standard Projects Specialists ensuring optimal productive, workflow and efficiencies of the team. Responsible for setting performance goals, personal development, and completing performance reviews.
- Maintain an advanced level of working knowledge in the operation of Softplan, Forte and Sizer; maintain a relative practical level of construction knowledge and construction techniques.
- Manage and schedule structural engineering needs with third party engineering provider.
- Collaborate with Estimating Project Coordinator, Standard Plans Coordinator and Plan Checkers to ensure timelines are met.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of national and provincial building code regulations.
- Accountable for weekly time processing through Time Zone for the Designers.

**What we’re looking for**:

- College / University diploma or degree in Construction Engineering or Architectural Technology.
- Qualified through MMAH BCIN qualifications Designer Legal, Small Buildings.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situation.
- Ability to organize and work under strict deadlines while producing quality deliverables.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Proficiency in working with building code regulations; clear understanding of standard building techniques and materials. High level of competency working with architectural drawings.
