**ABOUT CHILD DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE**
Child Development Institute (CDI) is a leading children’s mental health agency in the City of Toronto offering a range of services to approximately 3,000 children ages 0‐12, youth ages 13-18 and their families each year. Our mission is to promote and support the healthy development of children and to strengthen the families and communities in which they live. We provide four streams of service to families in need: early intervention, family violence, healthy child development and specialized mental health services for children and youth with learning disabilities.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Co-leads children’s mental health group interventions (i.e., SNAP Boys, SNAP Girls and SNAPParent groups) according to current SNAP program manuals

2. Delivers children’s mental health programs and services within their scope of practice as outlined in the client treatment plan

3. Assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
4. Adheres to the Child Development Institute’s Policies and Procedures and maintains a safe and healthy working environment.
5. Performs other assigned duties in the interests of the organization.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- CYC or CYW diploma or degree or equivalent, from an accredited educational institute
- Must have successfully completed SNAP Facilitator training and have experience in program delivery and demonstrated group skills competencies
- Recent (i.e., within the past 2 years) professional experience and familiarity with various individual, group, and family mental health intervention modalities
- CPI certification is an asset
- Ability to work in a highly distractible environment; sensitivity to the uniqueness and demands of a public service agency
- Maintains the confidentiality and security of client-related and agency information
- Possess strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills
- Be a dedicated and flexible team player able to interact with team members, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work in a respectful manner with groups from diverse backgrounds and experiences
