**Description**

Yangaroo is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance team and play a pivotal role in guiding the financial strategy of our organization. The role is currently interim with the opportunity to evolve to permanent.

As the CFO, you will be a key executive team member, directly involved in driving the financial success of our business, particularly in the music and television media distribution sector and major award shows. You'll collaborate closely with senior management, sales, and customer success teams to achieve our strategic goals and enhance our position in the industry.

Yangaroo offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Our office is located at 360 Dufferin Street (near Liberty Village), with the opportunity for remote work. **Responsibilities**
- Lead and direct the finance team, setting and overseeing the financial strategy and policy, while ensuring operational excellence.
- Drive the financial planning of the company, including budgeting and forecasting, and provide guidance on all financial matters.
- Oversee and direct all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, payroll, receivables, payables, and collections, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial statements, guaranteeing accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO and board members on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
- Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, and auditors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Drive the development and implementation of effective financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to optimize performance.
- Provide strategic oversight of Human Resources responsibilities, supporting managers in payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and related activities.
- Play a critical role in corporate governance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the finance team and the broader organization.

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CMA, CGA).
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a related industry.
- Proven track record in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial leadership.
- Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in financial management software (Quickbooks Online), MS Office, and public financial reporting tools.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the skill to drive organizational change and foster a collaborative environment.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, technology-driven work environment, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $150,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
