Food Service Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY
As a Food Service Supervisor you will be responsible for helping organize and execute efficient food and beverage service in our dining room, member's lounge and banquet events, taking full leadership and responsibility in the absence of other members of Management.
PRIMARY ROLES - include but are not limited to;
‣ Work collaboratively with servers and kitchen to ensure timely, accurate and well
- presented food to customers, as well as direct service of customers, in both the restaurant, and the banquet department.
‣ When necessary allocate duties, verify tasks are completed, organize breaks, assign side work and provide overall leadership and guidance to servers
‣ Complete floor checks prior to staff departures ensuring dining room, kitchen and banquet areas are maintained to proper standards.
‣ Deal with service errors and customer concerns in a polite and composed manner and if required use good judgment in working out appropriate resolutions.
‣ Following written and verbal directions, coordinate the efficient and accurate setup of restaurant and banquet rooms.
‣ Assist with new server orientation and training.
‣ Ensure the responsible and legal service of alcohol by all servers, enforce Ontario Liquor Laws in a professional manner and adhere to the house alcohol policy.
‣ End of day building closure including cash reconciliation, equipment shutdown and building lockup.
‣ Perform additional duties as required by Management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
‣ Minimum 2 years of restaurant and/or banquet work experience
‣ Ontario Smart Serve certified
‣ Strong communication and people skills
‣ Ability to work quickly as well as collaboratively with others
‣ Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
‣ Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform moderately heavy lifting and carrying
