**Pool Maintenance Specialist**

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pool Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The Pool Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of our pool facilities. For this position, we are seeking individuals who are well-versed in pool repair and possess the necessary handiness for diverse general labor assignments. In addition, must have excellent problem-solving skills, and be knowledgeable about industry best practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pool Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of pool systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Water Chemistry Management: Monitor and adjust pool water chemistry, including testing and balancing pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels, to maintain a safe and sanitary swimming environment.
- Equipment Repair and Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and repair any issues with pool equipment, such as pumps, filters, heaters, and control systems. Perform routine maintenance and conduct necessary repairs to keep the equipment in optimal condition.
- Pool Cleaning: Skim and vacuum the pools clean the pool walls and tiles, and remove debris to maintain cleanliness and aesthetics.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, water chemistry readings, equipment repairs, and inspections performed. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing pool maintenance tasks. Identify and address potential hazards and implement necessary measures to ensure a safe environment for pool users.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and concerns regarding pool maintenance, water quality, and equipment issues in a professional and courteous manner. Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades as needed.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of pool chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Coordinate with the supervisor to order and replenish necessary items to ensure smooth operations.
- Training and Compliance: Stay updated with the latest industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to pool maintenance. Attend training sessions and maintain CPO certification.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including lifeguards, facilities staff, and management, to ensure efficient pool operations and timely resolution of any maintenance issues.
- Flexibility; Required to travel between multiple locations. This position requires flexibility to be available outside regular working hours, such as evenings and weekends, to address emergencies like pool equipment leaks or failures that may occur.
- General Labour: performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks within multiple facilities to ensure its smooth functioning and address any minor issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in pool maintenance or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pool systems, equipment, water chemistry, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to adhere to them strictly.
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks meticulously.
- Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift 50lbs+
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record (required to travel to multiple locations)
