DevSecOps Specialist
**Description:
- Permanent Full Time- We are looking for a **_Senior Engineering Specialist (DevSecOps Specialist)._**
- We are maturing our Shared Services - Engineering team by hiring a Senior Engineering Specialist with a strong DevSecOps background. Our team consists of highly motivated, innovative, and tech-savvy engineers that evaluate, design, and deploy technologies using agile delivery methods and automation.**_Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in Winnipeg, London, or Toronto._**
**Role description**- You will also be providing thought leadership on the secure software development lifecycle. Providing guidance on vulnerability remediation activies findings from security scans. Liaise between core support teams and business unit aligned technology teams to drive inititves and strategies.**What you will do**
- Provides technical consulting on capabilities and limitations of software delivery, CI/CD chain, and security technologies.
- Implements all deliverables with the highest possible quality (that is, fewest implementation defects)
- Create or improve the automated deployment processes, techniques, and tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical operational issues related to CI/CD pipeline
**What you will bring**
- A degree or equivalent education in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Business Computing, Engineering, or Commerce
- Overall 7 years' experience designing, integrating, and implementing software solutions
- Proven DevSecOps background with a security and automation mindset
- Experience remediating vulnerabilities from security scans.
- Proven skills in designing and deploying multi-platform solutions
- Demonstrated initiative (self-starter) with the ability to influence others
- Attention to detail and effective planning and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven history of both technical and non-technical “soft” skills
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience working in a team environment
- Strong desire to implement change and make a contribution to the organization
- Proven history of making appropriate decisions and recommendations
- Good knowledge of Agile, and PM methodologies
- Eagerness to create documentation
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices and processes is an asset
**What really sets you apart**
- Knowledge of security tools such as SonarQube, JFrog Xray, Veracode etc,
- Expertise in GitOps tools like GitHub, GitLab
- Hands on experience building CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise environment.
- Experience in Scripting / Automation
- Knowledge of automated deployment and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) tooling IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployment and operations experience
- Familiarity with Java,.Net, Windows Server, Linux, PowerShell, Ansible
- Experience in performance tuning complex infrastructure solutions; knowledge of performance and monitoring tools will be an asset
- Certifications such as CSSLP, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert
- The base salary for this position is between **$72,700.00**:
- $131,800.00** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
