Hotel Maintenance Superrvisor

Under direct supervision of the General Manager monitors and maintains hotel’s facilities and equipment to preserve brand image, ensure maximum life of facilities and equipment and optimize safety and comfort of guests, achievement of budget, objectives and all brand standards and local standards and requirements.
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Directs and assists with orientation of maintenance/porters.
- Develops and implements contingency plans which minimize vulnerabilities and optimize opportunities.
- Maintains the departmental budget, in keeping with the hotel Business plan.
- Recommends plans and implements various employee relations and communication activities relative to the maintenance personnel in the hotel.
- Completion/Follow-up on all maintenance requests - Tracking completed requests accordingly
- Ensure that the parking lot is free of debris (weather related issues) and the garbage are emptied
- Special Projects as Assigned
- **TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Develops annual Maintenance Activities Schedule to cover all tasks to be completed on a regularly schedules basis. Plans for responding to emergency situations.
- Prepares (with General Manager) and monitors expenditures/budget plan.
- Is knowledgeable of all changes in municipal or provincial by-laws regarding building codes and corporate and licensor standards.
- Practices regular preventive maintenance and upgrades as necessary all technical services and components of the building
- Daily check of building envelope, interior/exterior finishes, electrical/mechanical systems, energy efficiencies, HVAC systems, fire alarm/safety systems, computer systems, custodial operations, grounds keeping, parking maintenance, renovations projects and fitness equipment
- Assists corporate in negotiating and leasing spaces (where applicable), reviews equipment warranties and insurance; and completes any certifying documents as required by regulating agencies.
- Ensures compliance with hotel’s Occupational Health and Safety Procedures and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems.
- Supports all departments in any way to enhance Guest Service and/or satisfaction.

**Salary**: From $17.75 per hour
