The North Shore Keep Well Society (NSKWS) is a registered society in British Columbia and a federally registered Charity, which has been in existence for over 38 years. NSKWS operates a free exercise and wellness program that provides fitness training, health awareness and wellness education and opportunities for social contact to help older adults lead active and independent lives. Participation in the program is voluntary and takes place weekly at eight in-person and two online sites across the North Shore.

**Position Description: Office Administrator**

Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Office Administrator will:

- Lead the provision of administrative support to the organization;
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of the organization’s financial and revenue collection systems;
- Assist with marketing, promotional and fundraising activities;
- Assist with the volunteer program; and
- Guide the activities of the Assistant Administrator

**Administrative Supports**
- Provides the Board of Directors as needed, with regular reporting (finance statements, monthly update report, and statistics);
- Assists the Board of Directors with the Governance of the organization: supports the annual financial review, ensures the society’s non-profit and charitable status’ are maintained and organizes licenses as needed;
- Assists with Board meetings and with the Annual General Meeting;
- Provides reports on organizational activities as needed;
- Maintains and, creates where needed, communication tools including: correspondence, web site content, general information brochures, multilingual brochures, Annual Report, board member biographies, and other related materials;
- Provides support and assistance as needed for workshops and special events.

**Liaison Supports**
- Assists with the maintenance and awareness of the Keep Well Society’s presence, activities, services and programs, in the local and broader community.
- Provides liaison between Keep Well Society and other pertinent groups including governmental bodies; community agencies; site hosts and funding organizations to maintain effective and supportive relationships, and where applicable, seek opportunities for partnerships.
- Assists with promotional activities including community presentations and meetings with key contacts;
**Financial Supports**
- Ensures the required monthly and annual bookkeeping and accounting activities are carried out, including recording and payment of invoices, counting and deposit of cash and cheque donations, issuance of charitable receipts, preparation of financial statements;

**Volunteer and Exercise Instructor Program Supports**
- Assists with the organization, recruitment and management of exercise instructors and volunteers

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred or relevant experience;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Good organizational and time management skills, as well as a strong ability to multitask;
- Good knowledge of office procedures and resources management;
- Computer literate with standard office software packages;
- Accounting and bookkeeping experience an asset;
- Valid BC drivers license and own vehicle;
- Flexibility in working hours;
- Personable, enthusiastic attitude, self directed, team player; and
- Volunteer program coordination and experience.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: $28.00 per hour
