The BA possess knowledge in many areas of business in order to obtain context of needed solutions and the required review needs of those solutions. This helps the organization achieve its business goals by aiding in the evaluation, analysis, and approval of new software, systems, platforms, products, infrastructure and services that support the business and its strategic objectives. The BA has knowledge of processes with a view to process improvement.

The BA has some knowledge of IT systems architecture such as context diagrams, component diagrams, system documentation, functional and non-functional requirements and how systems collaborate with each other - integrations. Having knowledge of IT operations is also an asset for the review process. They will need to gather all documentation and artifacts into a complete and understandable review document package. Frequent interactions with key collaborators, vendors, and IT teams will be required to understand the solutions and gather the required review documentation. The Analyst will have knowledge and understanding of IT security, governance, risk and compliance as well as auditing as it is integral to the review process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Work closely with key collaborators to prioritize requirements and communicate different messages to different people
- Liaison between business units, vendors, and technology teams to accurately gather, analyze and document the solution reviews
- Has basic knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- Has a knowledge of and experience working with ServiceNow
- Has the skills to evaluate and improve business processes
- Has an interest and possible career development in Solution and Enterprise Architecture
- Has knowledge of Cyber Security
- Ability to provide some organizational change management to train and transfer knowledge to colleagues who may not be familiar with the review process
- Be a champion of the review process and expand and increase awareness of the process throughout the organization

**Qualifications**:

- Has both great verbal and written interpersonal skill; ability to comfortably and confidently interact with colleagues at different levels within the organization
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills i.e. skilled at identifying and analyzing large volumes of information, able to develop a deep understanding of key issues quickly (business processes and system related), meticulously analyzes and investigates the business problems independently and in collaboration with the technical team proposes options / solutions to business collaborators in simple business terms.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and handling multiple assignments simultaneously with tight deadlines.
- Experience working in large organizations, at Enterprise, Business Unit, Operating Unit levels.
- A general awareness of Information Technology disciplines, including Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud based Computing (SaaS), Cyber Security, ITIL, etc.
- Proficient in the use Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and SharePoint
- Familiarity with Mining or Natural Resources industry is desirable
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset
