**Maintenance Technician**

**Position Summary**:
Unity Recruitments Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Brampton, ON area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities located on a specific property, as well as assisting with any maintenance requests on behalf of the owner. This position will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring that all facilities are maintained in accordance with established procedures and code requirements, and to ensure that all necessary safety standards are met.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance and small repairs of machines.
- Inspect apartments and community forilities to determine needs for maintenance.
- Engage resident and staff in maintaining the community's facilities.
- Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that necessary codes and regulations are followed.
- Communicate with Property Management regarding any resident related concerns or issues.
- Communicate with leasing office about any issues or complaints that appear on property management software.
- Communicate with vendors as needed.
- Communicate with vendors as needed.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies; order or obtain as needed.
- Maintain property's grounds; trim, clean, cleanse, sweep, and cleanse common areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
- Must have a strong work ethic; be self-motivated.
- Must possess problem solving skills and be able to independently manage repairs and activities within the community.
- Must follow instructions closely and remain motivated by standards exceeding expectations.
- Possess leadership skills including the ability to motivate team members to work as a team to achieve desired results.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills through independent analysis of information and data, problem solving processes, solutions, actions, results, feedback, results, actions, etc..

**Wages depend on experience.**

**Salary**: $15.50-$35.75 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 3 years (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
