**Job Overview**:
The Cybersecurity Lead/Information Security Lead is responsible for overseeing the Cybersecurity function at West Park. This hands-on role will help develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy while actively participating in day-to-day Cybersecurity Engineering and Operational activities, including security tool tuning, vulnerability assessments, monitoring, response, and remediation efforts. This position will report to the Director of IT and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure a secure environment for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Lead will work with IT Ops department resources to address cyber incidents, detections, and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

**Accountabilities**:

- Develop a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy by leveraging and expanding upon West Park's existing security framework to ensure the safety and security of West Park's information assets.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with relevant laws (i.e., PHIPA), regulations, and best practices, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Actively participate in day-to-day engineering and operational duties including security tool integration and tuning, threat monitoring, and response efforts. On-call as needed.
- Oversee the assessment, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing security tools ub effort to safeguard sensitive data in both on-prem and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure new initiatives are implemented with security in mind.
- Implement and oversee a vulnerability management program, ensure compliance in patching efforts
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities, measure the effectiveness of the cybersecurity program, and recommend and/or implement improvements as needed.
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness and training to all staff to improve security posture.
- Regular review of vendor contracts to ensure West Park's security needs are being met.
- Stay current with trends, emerging threats, and best practices to remain proactive and prepared.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science or related field required
- Master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science or related field preferred
- CISSP or CISM required
- PMP required
- Cloud security certifications, i.e., CCSP, Azure, etc. considered an asset
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in an IT environment, with at least 3 years specializing in cybersecurity, and having held progressively more senior roles.
- Experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations preferred (i.e., PHIPA, etc.).
