**Position Overview**:
We are looking to hire a passionate Corporate Quality Assurance Manager to join us in our goal of providing high quality, no sugar added food and beverages. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is accountable for quality assurance, food safety and quality system management. The role will provide the technical expertise in ensuring product compliance involving consumer packaged goods and natural health products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the company’s overall food safety program.
- Oversee the screening and release documentation for all products. Responsibilities include verification of packaging components, formulation version, test results from finished product C of A, and send product for testing (if applicable) before product release.
- Issue and maintain various version-controlled quality documentation, including finished product specifications.
- Responsible for maintaining change management documentation and approval
- Maintain retained sample database and ensure program is being executed according to set procedures.
- Initiate, organize, and maintain organization’s testing protocols for release, stability, quality investigation, and others.
- Ensure vendor provided information are up to date, accurate and complete
- Set-up and qualify new co-manufacturers, co-packers, labellers, vendors and suppliers.
- Responsible for maintaining the qualification of finished products.
- Maintain and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints, assess trends on non-conformances, including implementing root cause analysis and preventative actions.
- Communicate with external partners to resolve any quality concerns.
- Work with manufacturers to determine risk mitigation, this can include allergen review, shelf-life studies or best production practices.
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures that is aligned with the organization’s strategy and objective.
- Assist with any other company tasks, as needed.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, preferably with a background in Food Sciences
- Post-graduate in Quality and Regulatory Diploma preferred.
- Understanding of Health Canada and FDA regulations on drug, food, and/or natural health supplements.
- Understanding of analytical testing methods such as microbial tests, heavy metals, and other testing related to food and health supplements.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in quality assurance or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly detailed oriented and strong problem identification and solving skills
- Proven organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Proactive and strong teamwork mindset
