**Independent Living and Outreach Consultant (40 hours/weekly)**

**Monday to Friday 12pm - 8pm**

As a key member of the Independent Living and Outreach Teams you will provide services to individuals to live in their own community, with needed supports to ensure long term success. The services are based on the specific needs of each of the individuals supported and you will work to create a clear and strong natural support system.

**YOUR IMPACT**:

- Support individuals, living independently or striving to live independently, with the tasks of daily living
- Support individuals to plan activities that meaningful engage and expand their social networks, community connections, and experiences
- Provide targeted, which may include remote services, and meaningful supports that enrich each individuals’ chosen lifestyle, with the goal of fading out if and as appropriate
- Support independent decision making that is safe and respects dignity of risk
- Work independently and as part of team that values communication, integrity, diversity, and self-advocacy
- Proven ability to facilitate groups
- Knowledge and experience working with community resources and facilitating access to recreation activities

**YOUR CAPABILITIES**:

- Relevant post-secondary education in related field and at least one year’s experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar environment.
- In-depth knowledge of community based supported living programs for persons with developmental disabilities,
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and preferably experience with Sharevision;
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification, Clear Criminal Records Check and valid BC Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility with schedule

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
