**Specialist, Long Care Divisional Facilities**
**13 Month **Contract Full Time Opportunity**
Your work will be performed under the general direction of the Manager, LTC Facility Operations and Maintenance
**What you will do**:
You’ll provide professional expertise, guidance and recommendations in the area of facility services - including preventative and demand maintenance on all building systems and equipment, capital projects as well as housekeeping and laundry functions
- Develop and monitor a comprehensive preventative maintenance program and measures to ensure consistent service. Develop scope of work for all disciplines for preventative maintenance programs
- Liaise with Procurement and operations to create divisional contracts, maintain approved vendor list and ensure contract requirements are being adhered to
- Monitor Purchase Order spending while ensuring invoice accuracy for services rendered
- Ensure vendor performance meets or exceeds Regional requirements and manage conflicts
- You’ll be the Expert/Superuser for Facility related software systems, including Maximo and a key member of the maintenance work order development team
- You will guide the development and coordination of facility services policies, related accommodation programs, and the Environmental Services Infection Control program
- Operationalize capital project work
- Liase with Internal/external Partners in support of LTC Facilities Program support i.e., Waste Management, By-Law enforcement etc.
- Facilitate development and implementation of divisional infection control environmental services education programs in accordance with PIDAC and Ministry legislation
- Act as a backup to Facility Services Supervisors as required

**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma with minimum 5 years experience in a related field
- Minimum two years’ of building and facility services experience in Long Term Care/Health setting
- Understanding of HVAC equipment, computerized building management systems, electrical systems distribution, fire alarm and sprinkler systems including operation of and testing requirements, emergency diesel generator operations etc.
- Working knowledge of current Fixing the Long Term Care Homes Act, Building codes, By-Laws, OHSA, PIDAC, Fire Code Regulations
- Proficient in contract and vendor management
- Highly computer literate, including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Excellent facilitation skills with strong focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Client service oriented
- Effective communication with strong organizational skills
**Location**:In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at 10 Peel Centre Drive, or any of the five Regionally operated Long Term Care homes. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
**Hours**:35 hours per week - 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. Days/hours may change based on operational needs.
**Contract Duration**:13 months
**Compensation**:$84,335 - $105,417 plus comprehensive long term contract benefit package
