You will see us at municipal offices in Weyburn, the Polytechnique campus in Moose Jaw, patrolling the streets in Melville or at the front desk of our Legislature in the heart of Regina.

**About the Current Position**:
The Night Operations Supervisor is responsible for the timely and effective management of personnel and resources for all night contracts. This position directly oversees the post orders, scheduling and manpower requirements for any contract happening overnight and assists with sick leave notice and rescheduling for the next day. This position is responsible for all lone worker/employee wellness checks protocols and procedures overnight. In co-operation with Client Representatives, the position ensures all operational requirements are met and/or exceed the Client’s contractual agreement. The Night Operations Supervisor will ensure that all Commissionaires adhere to the Client’s post orders and the Corps Human Resources Policy Handbook.

The Night Operations Supervisor must be able to function efficiently and effectively under pressure generated by changing deadlines, unforeseen personnel situations and Client requests.

They must also possess effective human relations skills in supervising/managing employees working the night employees on contracts, Clients and the general public calling switchboard after hours. As well, they must have superior oral and written communications skills. This position requires great attention to detail and may be required to flex their shift to cover for their employee’s sick leave.

This full-time position works hours overnight from 2300 to 0700.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the employees working the night shift for mobile contracts and at sites, by being responsible for scheduling, leave management, performance management and recommending corrective discipline of these employees when required.
- Manage the switch board after hours.
- Monitor schedules and schedule replacements for those that call in sick overnight.
- Ensure manning levels are maintained with qualified and trained personnel.
- Ensure Post Order compliance and customer service during the night shift.
- Ensure fleet and equipment checks are done nightly and provide reports to incoming day Management daily.
- Ensure all site duties and post order items were competed and provide reports to incoming day Management daily.
- Identify qualifications required and gaps identified in employees and report need.
- Maintain a positive personal relationship with client reps and administer random audits on staff for policy, uniform and post order compliance.
- Ensure the client receives the most suitable employee available that suits the needs of the contract on the night shifts.
- Develop, update and input schedules into the computer database while maintaining all changes to schedules and distribute copies to employees reporting to them.
- Create and provide various reports for senior management and client reps as required.
- Work with the Corps HR software system to input pertinent information for Commissionaire they supervise.
- Review time sheets before submitting to Mobile Operations Supervisor for final review.
- Maintain and enforce Dress and Deportment standards in accordance with the Corps of Commissionaires HR Policy Handbook through regular site visits and liaising with Client Reps.
- Act as backup to Mobile Duty Supervisor in times of absence.
- May be called to assist from time to time in the selection, hiring and placement of personnel based on pre-employment interviews, suitability and Corps requirements in identifying manpower requirements on courier and mobile contracts.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of Supervisory experience.
- Experience and knowledge of formal HR processes, ISO/OH&S, Labour Code, Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code seen as an asset.
