**Job Summary**
- The Centre for Collaborative Clinical Learning & Research (C3LR) provides space and resources for experiential learning and research. The C3LR offers innovative educational opportunities for multi-health discipline, uni-professional, and interprofessional education through simulation, interprofessional collaboration, and innovative pedagogies that lead to improved transition of graduates to their professional practice areas. Reporting to the Director, and in consultation and collaboration with faculty and staff the Clinical Skills Educator (CSE) is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating pedagogically-sound curricula for use in clinical, procedural, and communication skills programming in medical and health professions within Dalhousie University as well as external organizations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Consult and collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement simulation-based curricular programming, with a focus on instructional design principles pertaining to simulation methodology for effective course development.
- Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate procedural skills training sessions that includes the development of learning objectives, content review and development, simulation design, and instructional design, that aligns with measurable learning objectives for the Faculty of Medicine skilled clinician program, the Faculty or Health, or external programs.
- Maintain current knowledge of and advance evidence-based best practice scholarship in simulation methodologies and curricular/instructional design (research and continuing professional development).
- Manage curricular event(s) from start to finish using a project management framework, which includes determining the scope and structure of the project, project requirements (human and physical resources), and the dependency relationship between planning activities and the current schedule status, and risk and quality management.
- Investigate and propose new programming that involves high, medium, and low fidelity manikins, task trainers, hybrid trainers, simulation software and e-learning, as well as numerous procedural and clinical skills required of medical and health professions students.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise clinical skills instructors, and health professional facilitators, for teaching and evaluating roles to ensure learning objectives and project requirements will be met.

**Note**
- This position may involve work outside of normal working hours (evenings and weekends) and potential travel.
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Master’s degree focused on adult education, curriculum development, and/or health professions education, with minimum seven years’ of progressive experience in a related educational or curriculum development field (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Proven communication (written and verbal) skills and strong project management skills required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, advocacy, and care for student learning.
