**_PART TIME FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE_**

**Individuals who enjoy driving and working with children may be interested in working as a Spare Bus Driver**:
Spare School Bus Drivers are required on an “as needed” basis to support operations in one of the Annapolis Valley Centre for Education Bus Garages based in Windsor, Middleton, Bridgetown and Annapolis Royal. School buses travel on paved and unpaved roads in a variety of weather. Spare Bus Drivers are on call for a part-year (during September - June) and part-time (5 hours per day) and typically drive a morning and/or afternoon run for instructional days. Spare Bus Drivers may also opt to drive hours for extra
- or co-curricular events.

Spare Bus Drivers safely drive school buses with air brakes on assigned routes and extra-curricular trips, are responsible for the safety and discipline of passengers, daily routine maintenance including cleaning and washing, pre-trip inspection of the vehicle, and compliance with all AVRCE and government policies, regulations, and legislation.

**Successful applicants are required to successfully complete an inhouse**_ _**training program in the safe operations of a school bus and First Aid/CPR.
