**What We’re Looking For**:
The role of the General Manager at Hello Nori’s first Toronto location presents an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader. As our inaugural site takes root, the GM will spearhead its growth, with opportunities for advancement as our footprint expands. This pivotal role involves closely working with our CEO, Finance team, and Director of Restaurant Operations, not only to oversee the Toronto restaurants, but also to assist in shaping future expansions in Eastern Canada.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Advise the CEO on growth strategies and provide regular updates on business operations.
- Lead the Toronto Hello Nori location, establishing effective systems and fostering a positive culture to achieve guest service, team development, and financial targets.
- Drive business growth through local events and marketing initiatives.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including the CEO, finance, construction, and others, fostering strong relationships.
- Project manage timelines for various activities.
- Ensure the restaurant is fully equipped with culinary and service teams, products, and equipment before opening.
- Monitor and analyze monthly reports to track revenue generation and restaurant performance.
- Collaborate with the Director of Restaurant Operations to develop long-term financial and operational plans.
- Improve service strategies to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Work with senior leadership to develop data-driven operational strategies and measurable KPIs.
- Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Lead by example, providing creative and strategic leadership and motivating management teams.
- Identify areas for improving customer satisfaction and implement corrective measures.
- Manage sales budgets, profit and loss controls, inventory levels, and labor and product costs.
- 7+ years of premium food and beverage leadership experience.
- 2+ years of multi-unit restaurant experience.
- University degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven success in controlling COGs, labor, and controllables.
- Strong business acumen, driving positive results aligned with business goals.
- Committed to delivering a premium level of quality, service, and execution.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analyzing and implementing solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Superior conflict resolution skills, relating professionally to all levels of staff and stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and energetic with the flexibility to travel within Canada and work outside regular hours.
- Comfortable with media, public speaking, and VIP guests.
- Experience with commissary production kitchens is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture is an asset.
- Project management experience is an advantage.
- Formal wine/spirit education is an asset.
