While safely meeting the physical demands of the job, you complete assigned tasks to high standards and with mínimal supervision. You anticipate and analyze problems and initiate appropriate solutions. You read plans and drawing to determine painting specification, obtain the required equipment for the job, and assist other trades in the performance of their work where appropriate.

You have a thorough understanding of WCB regulations and safe working practices and working knowledge of relevant materials, tools and equipment. You have a BC or Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Painting and Decorating or a Certificate of Apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating. You have experience in commercial, industrial or shipyard painting. A valid driver’s license is required.
