**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team at TEMPO FOOD + DRINK.. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

**Duties**:

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests
- Provide recommendations on menu items and answer questions about the menu
- Prepare bills and process payments using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines
- Embrace the hotel’s Food and Beverage Standards and its Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
- Help create a positive work environment through teamwork, cooperation, and communication with peers and team leaders.
- Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings, and initiatives.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
- Contribute to the overall financial success of the Food and Beverage department through suggestive selling, up-selling, breakage/equipment control, accurate financial reporting, and cash-outs.
- Bringing a positive and consistent attitude to the venue for both your guests and immediate coworkers, and by extension all fellow associates of the Barrington Hotel.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Barista experience is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and menu items
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Responsible Beverage Server or comparable certificate
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
- Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service.
- Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, or standing for long periods of time.
- Friendly, energetic, enthusiastic individual with a neat, professional appearance.
- Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts.

**Position Details**:

- Shifts and hours vary based on the needs of the business.
- Must to be able to start as early as 5am shifts as needed

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
