**An exciting opportunity has just opened to join our experienced Quality Control Team at Sunrise Bakery**

Sunrise Bakery is currently seeking a Quality Technician to add to our team. This individual must possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

This position is vital to our operations and provides long-term employment and growth opportunity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor product safety and quality, production process and personnel GMP practice to ensure the compliance to established procedures (SOP’s), standards and requirements
- Perform production line quality checks
- Conduct relevant physical, chemical and organoleptic testing on ingredients, raw materials, and finished product
- Manage sample collection per production run. Collect samples at various stages of production
- Perform various swabbing for product safety monitoring
- Identify, report and investigate any deviation to procedure, system or standard and assist with implementing corrective actions and follow ups
- Participate or assist in employee training
- Inspections or audits of the facility to ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- Liaise with other departmental management to meet food safety and quality compliance, and provide assistance to other departments as needed or requested
- Participate or assist in internal audits in as needed basis
- Document reports and assist with all administrative functions associated with this role.
- Report process deviations and product failures and assist in the investigation and generation of solution to the problem
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements, Skills & Qualifications**:

- Strong knowledge of BRC or SQF as well as HACCP, Prerequisite Programs, and GMP’s.
- 2 years experience in similar position
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a cross functional team environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be computer proficient (MS Office & Excel)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. An excellent understanding of spoken and written English is required
- Excellent time management and stress managing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Steel Toed Boots are required. Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, occasionally working in the freezer.
- This is a rotational shift position. Employees are required to rotate between Morning, Afternoon and Evening shift on a 4 week schedule

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
