**What you'll be doing...**:
You will have the opportunity to plan and execute the full project lifecycle of BC Transit’s vehicle asset projects. You will demonstrate passion and excitement for integrating new innovative technology to our fleet in support of BC Transit’s greenhouse gas reduction targets by delivering projects that are fully integrated, cost-effective and sustainable.

In this role you work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop strategy, scope, tactics, requirements, budgets, schedules, and resources to implement projects related to fleet assets and services.

As we’re a publicly funded organization, business case development, reporting, and procurement are key elements in this role. This is because you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and expanding our bus fleet throughout the province in order to meet BC’s growing demand for sustainable and accessible public transportation. There is also a high degree of internal stakeholder management, as with publicly funded projects, the ability to clearly articulate timelines as well as potential roadblocks and solutions to senior leadership is key. You will also have the opportunity to be very involved in the procurement process to establish contracts and lead, plan, develop, support, and execute public procurement activities to acquire assets and services in support of these projects.

While ensuring our vehicle assets arrive as expected is your primary focus, you may also lead projects focused on bus retrofits, non-revenue generating vehicles and provide support to our TED’s (Transmissions, Engines and Differentials) program.

- A PMP Designation - Experience and comfort with PMBOK will be key to your success as we work within a Hybrid Waterfall methodology whe
- Experience as a Project Manager preferably within a government (or similarly large agency)
- Experience in the delivery of capital projects involving multiple partners and vendors utilizing public (or similarly complex) procurement and contract negotiation processes
- Knowledge of public transit or commercial vehicle transportation would be an asset
- An equivalent level of knowledge, education and experience will be considered
