K1 Speed is an international indoor electric go-karting entertainment company that has more than 55 locations worldwide, including 3 in Canada.

**K1 Speed Canada is looking for a General Manager for our next location - CAMBRIDGE**

We are looking to hire the GM now so they are trained before the location opens.

The General Manager will lead the K1 Speed Cambridge team that includes 3 other members of the management team, supervisors, and 40+ employees.
- Full time, permanent position
- Approx. 40-44 hours per week
- Must have open availability including weekends

**Pre-opening Site Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support in hiring of new employees
- Assist in setting up location office/filing system/track
- Possible training to happen at other locations

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Staffing duties including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and firing
- Payroll duties including: confirming written records, correcting punch errors, submitting final timecards
- Cash handling duties including: preparation of tills, change fund maintenance, and preparation of deposits
- Customer interaction and auditing of customer experience
- Ordering and purchasing operational supplies, concessions, and retail merchandise
- Performing operational paperwork duties including safety, accounting and inventory
- Creating schedules and employee communications
- Corresponding with and providing regular reports to corporate office personnel
- Expanding the marketing and promotional presence of K1
- Maintaining the effective operational feasibility of the center
- Maintaining the highest standard of facility appearance including storage areas and the parking lot
- Coordinate with your regional manager to ensure that all facility maintenance is performed quickly
- Ensuring that:Cashiers adhere to correct cash handling procedures and sell effectively

Track Attendants run races safely, efficiently and professionally
Mechanics maintain our karts in peak working condition
All staff are strictly adhering to company policies and providing outstanding customer service

**Qualifications**
- Previous General Manager / Site Manager experience preferred.
- High school diploma or post-secondary school degree
- 5+ years of experience in a management role
- Experience with Google Apps including Google Docs and Google Drive
- 5+ years of experience in customer service
- Leading a large team
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Passion for creating/maintaining a safe and fun work environment
- Strong people management skills
- Training and development
- Making decisions in a fast paced environment
