As a Manager of Enterprise Data Platform at the City of Toronto, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on how data is utilized to improve city services and operations. Your work will directly contribute to better decision-making, enhanced efficiency, and improved quality of life for Toronto’s residents.

**Specifically, you will provide leadership in the areas of**:

- **Design and Development**: Lead the design and development of the City of Toronto's Enterprise Data Platform, ensuring it meets the needs of various stakeholders and aligns with the city's data strategy.
- **Data Mesh Architecture**: Spearhead the implementation of a data mesh architecture to enable decentralized, domain-oriented data ownership and architecture.
- **Cloud Solutions**: Utilize AWS and other cloud solutions to build scalable and secure data infrastructure.
- **Infrastructure as Code**: Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate and streamline the deployment of cloud resources
- **ETL/ELT Processes**: Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using DBT (Data Build Tool) and other relevant tools.
- **Programming and Data Processing**: Utilize Python and Spark for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
- **Data Modeling**: Design and implement robust data models to support analytics, machine learning and reporting.
- **Data Governance**: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance.
- **Streaming and Batch Processing**: Implement and manage both streaming and batch data processing solutions.
- **Platforms and Technologies**: Leverage Databricks, Snowflake, and other relevant technologies to enhance the data platform’s capabilities.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and other technical staff.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
