We currently have an exciting opportunity at SPM Oil & Gas, a newly acquired Caterpillar company for a Iron Technician. No experience? **On the job training will be provided for this role.**

The primary objective of the Iron Technician is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service. This will be demonstrated through the observation of the core values of SPM Oil and Gas. In this role you will show consistency, accountability and reliability while exhibiting a high degree of integrity and a solid work ethic. Further you and active advocate of exemplary safety culture at all times. All written policies and procedures will be followed safely without deviation.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Performs all duties of an Iron Technician Trainee
- Assists Iron Technicians during the disassemble phase
- Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components
- Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections
- Ability to demonstrate the disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Ability to identify SPM and Customer product
- Ability to assemble flow control product
- Nondestructive Testing Trainee (NDT Trainee)
- Manifold tear down/rebuild trainee
- Demonstrates computer skills for the AMP System
- Requires knowledge of SPM products and customer standards
- Inventory Incoming Iron
- Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment and work area.
- Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met
- Performs other routine duties as requested

**Required Background / Skills**:
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Fluency in English (read, write, comprehend).

Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems.

Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Observe safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines;
