**Summary**

We are seeking a General Contractor (Commercial Construction) who is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects. This includes ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specified standards and regulations. The role requires strong leadership, excellent project management skills, and in-depth knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs and individual capabilities.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

- Manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are accounted for.
- Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Authorize and manage change orders and variations to contracts.

Construction Supervision:

- Oversee all construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
- Schedule and coordinate work with subcontractors and construction crews.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and compliance with building codes.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction promptly.

Safety Management:

- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and site visitors.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Investigate and report any accidents or safety incidents.

Communication and Reporting:

- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Provide regular progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Document project milestones, changes, and any issues that arise.

Team Leadership:

- Work with cross functional divisions of the business, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily on-site at construction projects with some office work.
- Must be able to work in various conditions and navigate construction sites.
- Must have a valid G licence and a vehicle. Frequent travel to sites within Ontario. Occasional travel outside of province may be required.
