As an **Adult, Youth, Childcare** Worker **at our **Stabilization and Assessment of Youth program in** **North Vancouver**, **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to at-risk youth with complex mental health, behavioural challenges, and/or substance use. This line is **40 hours/week, Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11pm.**

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with at-risk youth
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth with complex mental health and behavioural challenges
- Experience or knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
- Clear, direct, and sensitive verbal and written communication skills
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License or Equivalent
- Current First Aid/CPR training
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or MANDT Training
- Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination record

**A sample of what you’ll be doing**:

- Conduct self-searches with youth returning to the program
- Perimeter searches of the program
- Safety planning with clients (ensuring they have a charged phone, safety equipment, etc. when leaving the program)
- Wellness checks on clients, according to their safety plan
- Performing outreach as needed (this includes following safety plans)
- Driving within the Lower Mainland to pick up clients, as needed, in a program vehicle
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
- Encouraging and modelling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
- Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans

**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00/hour plus benefits
