We’re on the lookout for a talented and curious **Marketing Journalist** to join our marketing team In this role, you'll be** the voice behind our success stories**, turning our clients’ experiences into **compelling narratives that inspire and engage** our audience.
**About the Role**
Our software has a transformative impact on our clients’ businesses, and we need someone who can tell those stories with a journalist's finesse. The Marketing Journalist will **conduct interviews** with clients, craft **engaging content**, and help **shape our brand narrative** across multiple platforms—from our blog to social media to promotional materials and more. You’ll be the bridge between our clients’ experiences and our brand, bringing their success to life in ways that resonate and build credibility.
**This is an in-person role in our Sherwood Park, AB office.**
**In this role, you will be expected to**:
- Conduct interviews with clients to uncover compelling stories about how our software has benefited their business.
- Write and publish engaging content across formats including blog posts, case studies, social media updates, and promotional pieces.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with broader strategies and ensure brand consistency.
- Craft both short-form (social media posts, summaries) and long-form (in-depth articles, case studies) content.
- Manage editorial calendars and ensure the timely delivery of content across channels.
- Juggle multiple content projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and managing your workload effectively.
- Utilize content management systems (CMS) like WordPress to publish and manage content.
- Ensure all content is error-free and consistent with our brand voice through strong editing skills and attention to detail.
- Stay familiar with current tools, including AI, to enhance content creation and workflow efficiency.
**You might be the right fit if you**:
- Have a strong background in **journalism **with experience conducting interviews and creating content that captures attention.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to build rapport and extract meaningful insights during client interviews.
- Are skilled at transforming complex information into reader-friendly narratives that highlight the value and impact of our software solutions.
- Have experience in content marketing and are comfortable adapting to both B2B and B2C contexts.
- Are adept at **storytelling**, with a keen eye for finding unique angles to share impactful stories.
- Are familiar with SEO principles, and able to optimize content to increase visibility.
- Have experience managing multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Are proficient with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
- Have a sharp eye for detail, with strong editing skills to maintain high-quality content.
- Stay updated on current tools, including AI, that can enhance your content creation and publishing process.
**Bonus points if you have**:
- Experience working within a SaaS or technology-driven environment would be great, but not mandatory.
- A background in B2B content strategy would also be an asset.
- A portfolio demonstrating your ability to balance creativity with brand consistency across various content forms.
Salary ranges are based on experience, reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role. In addition to this salary, we offer full medical (health, dental, and vision) coverage as well as life insurance and disability insurance.
