We are seeking a **talented and passionate Investigative Journalist/Editor/Writer** to join our marketing team. In this role, you will dive deep into **client stories**, extracting valuable insights, tips, and experiences to **craft engaging conten**t across multiple platforms—from articles and blog posts to books and customer spotlights. Your storytelling will be at the heart of how we share the transformative impact of our solutions with the world.
**About the Role**
In this role you will be the key **storyteller **for our existing and potential clients. You will conduct** in-depth interviews** with our clients to gather real-world experiences and translate them into powerful narratives, trends, and expert insights. Whether it’s compiling top tips or writing comprehensive case studies, your work will shape how we communicate our success stories to a broader audience.
You’ll create content in various forms, such as **books, customer spotlights, blog posts, magazine articles, and industry trends**, leveraging your ability to transform raw interview material into polished, compelling pieces.
**This is an in-person role in our Sherwood Park, AB office.**
**In this role, you will be expected to**:
- Conduct detailed interviews with clients to uncover insightful stories, trends, and tips on how our software has impacted their businesses.
- Compile the collective knowledge from interviews into long-form content like books, in-depth articles, and short-form content like blog posts or lists of tips and trends.
- Write engaging customer spotlights, case studies, and magazine-style articles that resonate with our target audience and enhance our brand’s credibility.
- Craft lists of best practices, top tips, or trends based on client interviews and industry research.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all content aligns with the broader brand strategy.
- Manage editorial calendars and ensure timely content delivery across various platforms.
- Edit and proofread all content for accuracy, style, and tone, ensuring it meets high editorial standards and is consistent with our brand voice.
- Stay updated on current content trends, including utilizing tools like AI to optimize your writing process.
**You might be the right fit if you**:
- Have a strong background in journalism, editing, or writing, with experience conducting interviews and turning them into compelling stories.
- Possess exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to transform interviews into powerful narratives.
- Are adept at creating content across multiple formats, from articles to full-length books, spotlight pieces, and industry trend reports.
- Have experience compiling lists of top tips, trends, or hacks based on interview content and expert knowledge.
- Are skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Are familiar with SEO principles and can optimize content to increase visibility across channels.
- Have experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
- Have a keen eye for detail, with strong editing skills to ensure content is polished and error-free.
**Bonus points if you have**:
- Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- A portfolio showcasing your ability to balance creative storytelling with strategic brand messaging.
- Experience in content strategy, particularly for B2B audiences.
Salary ranges are based on experience, reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role. In addition to this salary, we offer full medical (health, dental, and vision) coverage as well as life insurance and disability insurance.
